TechCrunch making US$240,000 a month

Yes, TechCrunch is bringing in $240,000 a month in ad revenue. Michael Arrington should be proud of his baby, which was given birth only in 2005. No wonder some guy wanted to sue TechCrunch for $1.5 million.

Firefox making US$60 million a year

We all love stuff which are absolutely free. One of the things on the list of free stuff that we can’t live without would be Firefox. Firefox is a free browser which competes directly with MS Internet Explorer. It is open source, which mean, you can download and use it totally free of charge.

 And if you think that you can’t make money out of free stuff, you are simply mistaken. Gen Kanai (Director of Marketing - Mozilla Foundation) revealed at PopOut event that earnings from the search box alone, which is embedded in Firefox, were about $60 million in 2005. Not too bad for a non-profit org.
